Staff Qualifications
Lead Teacher
At Discovery Daycare, our dedicated and caring staff are passionate about early childhood education and have the experience and qualifications to provide high-quality care. They begin their career in childcare with 60+ hours and continue to work towards the end goal: a fun and safe learning environment.
Assistant Teacher
Our assistant teachers here at Discovery Daycare have taken on child-related courses to add to their portfolio. They start with 10+ hours before their first shift and learn from the leads in the classroom. We maintain low teacher-to-child ratios to ensure individual attention and support.
Floater
The floaters meet the qualifications of an assistant teacher as they "float" from classroom to classroom. They ensure the classes are running smoothly and efficiently and help out where is needed.
Volunteer
We work closely with organizations, such as blank, that give their employees volunteer hours in a field of their choice. These volunteers must meet the same requirements as the rest of our staff to start.
Kitchen Staff
Our kitchen staff make the nutritious meals for the children regulated by the Health Department, USDA, and CACFP. We provide ALL meals for our children from the time they start baby food until they age out. Breakfast, AM Snack, Lunch, and PM Snack are all included!
Director
At Discovery Daycare, our team members are led by directors who are dedicated to providing a comfortable and engaging atmosphere for children of all ages. We have age-appropriate toys, books, and equipment, as well as outdoor play areas and a nutritious meal program. Each director has a degree with 60+ hours in child-related fields and attend countless meetings to ensure our standards are up to date, our staff are well equipped, and our center is a state of the art.
